Sitting Light
I was set for this shot for some time. The light was beautiful, coming in low as the sun had just risen. The lighting bouncing off the building which soften the feel and there was little contrasting shadows. With my composition worked out, I simply waited for someone to enter the scene as my human element.
Morning Commute
Catching the woman on her way to work to Uni. I like the way her shadow and the shadow of the street sign are projected onto the Wall. The sun was high and with no clouds in the sky, I had harsh light to work with that ensured crisp clean shadows and detailed textures on the walls.
Right Direction
For this shot I was sitting on a bench seat close to the road. I was low to the ground and had set up the composition so the arrows on the road were in the lower third of the image. I just waited for a cyclist to ride along. Luckily there were about 5 in the space of about 10-15 minutes.
Permission
My mate David had walked up to the windows of this street cafe and asked for permission to take a photo. It was only when he was at the window that I could see a nice balanced composition. I quickly took the opportunity and grabbed the shot. In post-processing I increased the contrast to bring out the detail of the street.
